Sydney Osada pitched a five-inning, one-hit shutout Tuesday night as River Ridge beat Dalton 9-0 at home.

Osada struck out 10 batters while earning the win and River Ridge improved to 9-6 overall and 6-3 in Region 6AAAAAA.

Lily Bell, Cat McCulley, Elyse Navarro and Kaytlin Stacey each finished with two hits, while Grace Hamrick finished 1-for-1 with two runs scored and one RBI. Becca Bray and Gracie Hughes each finished 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI apiece.

River Ridge will play at 5:55 p.m. Thursday at home against Allatoona.

Sequoyah 8, Sprayberry 0 (5 inn.): Sarah Squillace finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI as Sequoyah defeated Sprayberry in five innings on Tuesday night on the road.

The win improved Sequoyah’s record to 12-4-1 overall 6-3 in Region 6AAAAAA.

Macy Smith allowed two hits and zero runs to earn the win. Katie Vansword, Anslee Day, Molly Stevens and Abby Schreiner each finished with multiple hits.

Sequoyah will play at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at home against Osborne.

Collins Hill 3, Creekview 0: Creekview lost for only the second time this season Tuesday night on a road game.

Mattie Lathem took the loss for the Lady Grizzlies, who fell to 14-2 overall.

Creekview will play at 5:55 p.m. Thursday at home against Sprayberry.
