Hope Jiles was 3-for-4 with a double, one run scored and three RBIs as Cherokee beat Lassiter 9-2 on Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader at home.

Parker Modica pitched all seven innings for Cherokee allowing seven hits, two earned runs while striking out two.

Lassiter 9, Cherokee 4: Cherokee scored all four runs in the bottom of the third inning but Lassiter continued to add runs late as the Lady Warriors fell in game two of the doubleheader. The loss moved Cherokee’s record to 2-2, 1-1 in Region 4AAAAAAA.


Creekview 17, South Cobb 1: The Lady Grizzlies moved their record to 8-1, 6-0 in Region 6AAAAAA with a road victory over South Cobb on Tuesday night in Austell. Mattie Lathem picked up the win for Creekview who will play at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday at home against River Ridge.


Etowah 6, Roswell 1: Kinsey Norton struck out 13 batters while pitching a complete game win as the Lady Eagles defeated Roswell in the first game of Tuesday night’s doubleheader in Roswell.

Bri Condon and Paige Patterson each knocked in a pair of RBIs while Abby Billings finished 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Alana Smith finished 1-for-3 with two runs scored and a home run.

Etowah 12, Roswell 0 (4 inn.): Abby Billings finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI as the Lady Eagles defeated Roswell in four innings to sweep Tuesday night’s doubleheader. The victory moves Etowah’s record to 3-1, 2-0 in Region 4AAAAAAA.

Haley Schultz finished 3-for-3 with one run scores and two RBIs and Bri Condon finished 2-for-3 with one run scored and two RBIs.


Woodstock 10, Walton 2 (6 inn.): Makenzie Levine finished 3-for-3 with four RBI to lead the Lady Wolverines to victory over Walton in the first game of Tuesday night’s doubleheader at home. Seven different Woodstock players recorded base hits while Molly Wiggins earned the win in the circle.

Woodstock 12, Walton 4: Gracie Menard finished 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Kacie Wiggins finished 3-for-3 with three runs scored to help lead Woodstock to victory over Walton in Game 2 of Tuesday night’s doubleheader. The victory improved Woodstock’s record to 4-3, 2-0 in Region 4AAAAAAA.
