Reinhardt kicker Reid Schratwieser made all seven of his extra-point attempts and converted his lone field goal attempt from 23 yards out in the Eagles’ win over Campbellsville.

Reinhardt kicker Reid Schratwieser was named the Mid-South Conference Appalachian Division Special Teams Player of the Week following the Eagles’ 52-7 blowout win over Campbellsville.

The freshman from Atlanta’s Midtown High School made all seven of his extra-point attempts and converted his lone field goal attempt from 23 yards out. The made field goal was the second of his young career.

Reinhardt continues to climb in the rankings as it moved to sixth in the NAIA coaches’ Top 25 poll.

After two straight home games, Reinhardt will travel to face Bethel on Saturday in McKenzie, Tennessee.

Cross country

Reinhardt competed in the North Alabama Showcase in Huntsville on Friday. Going up against some strong competition, the men finished 17th overall, with the women coming in 21st.

“An up-and-down day for our group that had some breakthrough races against very stiff competition,” Reinhardt coach Jordan Turner said in a release. “Braden and Tom had strong races to lead us, with Braden running a top-10 season opener at 8K, and Tom running the sixth-best debut race at 8K in Reinhardt History.”

On the women’s side, Reinhardt’s top finisher was freshman Brooke Simon, who finished with a time of 19 minutes, 27.8 seconds. Sophomore Carly Harrison was next, coming across the line in 21:35.7, for 156th overall.

Sophomore Braden Ray was the top finisher on the men’s line. He finished with a time of 28:16.7. Freshman Tom Vincent was shortly behind with his 28:29.7 time.

The Eagles’ next race will be the Alexander/ASICS Invitational at Chattahoochee Hills Eventing in Fairburn on Oct. 2.
