Reinhardt University announced late Thursday afternoon that it would be suspending of all athletic events and practices, effective immediately, following a pattern unfolding throughout the country as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The fitness center in Brown Gymnasium is also closed until further notice.

Additionally, the NAIA announced Thursday that it would be cancelling the remaining winter sports championships which include the Division I men's and women's basketball championships scheduled for March 18-24.

The decision as to whether to play the spring championships is still being evaluated according to the statement on the NAIA website.
