Creekview 2, Mount Paran Christian 1
Anslie Pettit pitched a gem for Creekview in the one-run win over Mount Paran Christian. Pettit threw seven innings and recorded the win as she struck out 12 batters. She gave up four hits, one run and did not walk a single hitter. Creekview’s two RBIs came from Ella Campbell and Alex Russo. The Lady Grizzlies took a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning with Campbell’s sacrifice fly. Russo doubled and tripled in a 2-for-2 night at the plate.
Cherokee 11, Roswell 1
The Cherokee offense exploded once again with an 11-run, 15-hit performance. 10 different Cherokee batters recorded a hit, with five having multi-hit nights. Elyse Kresho continued her big season at the plate with a team-leading three RBIs on a 2-for-4 night. Kenleigh Spence pitched five innings, getting the win and helping herself out on offense with two hits and two RBIs.
Cherokee 9, Roswell 1
River Ridge 13, Centennial 0
The Lady Knights scored in every inning leading up to the shutout win over Centennial. Lily Bell hit a two-run double to increase the lead to 8-0 in the fourth inning. The game ended 13-0 in five innings after Grace Hamrick scored on a wild pitch and Gracie Hughes struck out the side. Hughes got the win and struck out 10 batters overall.
Cherokee 10, Cambridge 0
Elyse Kresho pitched five innings, giving up one hit and shutting out Cambridge. She recorded the win and helped herself on offense with a solo home run. Lottie Landmesser blew the game open in the fifth inning with a grand slam that finished the night for Cambridge. Nikki Brown led Cherokee in the hits category with three. She also drove in four runs. The Lady Warriors showed great patience at the plate, walking eight times and only striking out twice.
