Joey Gill struck out 11 while walking just one in a five-inning no-hitter and 10-0 win against Dalton on Tuesday.
Offensively, the Grizzlies (3-4) fared just as well, especially in a seven-run third inning that broke the game open. Grant Potts was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a triple and three RBIs, while Kyle Johnson had three hits and two runs scored from his leadoff spot.
Cherokee 9, Denmark 7: Cherokee led by as many as five and held off a late Denmark push for the win.
It was a balanced offensive effort for the Warriors (7-2) as seven different players recorded hits. However, it was Gavin Tuck, who finished with a triple and three RBIs, and Austin Cole, who had a triple and two RBIs, who made the biggest difference.
On the mound, Brady Caloway got the win with three strikeouts while allowing five hits and four runs in three innings.
Etowah 10, Milton 1: Etowah got just four hits, but it took advantage of 12 walks and five errors to beat Milton.
Cole Ellis, Michael Sharman, Bryant Madden, Jacob Lefevers and Michael Straub each drove in runs for the Eagles (8-2), while Ryan Lobus picked up the win after allowing two hits and a run with three strikeouts in three innings.
