Salame scored a meet-high 28 points to lead Etowah’s boys to a runner-up finish at the Cherokee County Track and Field Championships Wednesday at Etowah.

He dominated both hurdle events, winning the 300-meter hurdles by nearly four seconds in 39.04 seconds, and he won the 110 hurdles by more than a second in 15.01. He was also second in the high jump with a height of 6 feet, 2 inches.
