By misusing the administrative process, Speaker of the House Pelosi has blocked the Senate from conducting the impeachment trial, which should follow the House of Representative’s approval of the two charges against the president. And Senator McConnell joked about it, as if he didn’t want to deal with the trouble of a trial anyway. Meanwhile, the President is being denied the trial that he wants, to defend himself and expose the unfairness of the charges. Meanwhile, the word “impeached” will be branded to his name by his opponents, and it sounds too much like “guilty” to so many people. The flawed impeachment process, if allowed to persist, could be a proven an ever-present option for the party opposing a president — or the heads of the departments of government.
