As one ponders the history of America, and of the world, one will find that freedom is something that does not abide, but must be preserved by those who love it and are willing to fight to preserve that freedom, and yes, even to die to preserve their freedoms, as were the patriots who defeated the world’s largest and strongest army, the British Army, during America’s Revolutionary War that ended in 1782. But they were defeated as Lord Cornwallis, the commanding general of that army said, “because God was on their side.”

But why was the God of the Christian faith on their side? Why not the God of any of the other major religions of the world? It was because those men that God raised up to write the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were men whose families immigrated from Great Britain whose state religion was Christian founded. And it was these men, who, when they added the Bill of Rights, declared that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;” to be their first priority. These men, because of the history of religious bigotry and slaughter in Western Europe, realized that no nation could prosper unless the people were free to choose the God of their choice. Thus today, America embraces all religions of the world.

While I am a supporter of those who are marching to overcome the wrongs of past generations, I am not a supporter of those who are using the killing of George Floyd to loot, burn, and kill. Please remember, if those leaders of BLM and Antifa win this current conflict, they will rule over those they think inferior to them, as did Hitler and Stalin who send millions to the gas chambers in Poland and the Gulags of Eastern Russia.

And yes, and let me reinforce this point, those who are ignorant of history are bound to relive it. And those who are ignorant of America’s history are the rising generations who have been taught a watered down version of America’s founders and what they did for them in establishing those freedoms that allow them to destroy those same freedoms by rioting, looting and killing.

To see how history repeats itself the following scriptures, from the Book of Judges, verses 10 through 15, show how important it is for free governments to teach their children where their freedoms came from. Interspersed among these verses are my comments in parentheses. “10. After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel. (This is where America is today, several generations removed from the founding fathers who knew God, a generation who knows not God.) 11 Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the LORD and served the Baals.(The evil committed today by the rising generations are the mass murder of unborn babies, the use of the God’s name in vain, not keeping the sabbath day holy, etc.) 12 They forsook the LORD, the God of their ancestors, who had brought them out of Egypt. They followed and worshiped various gods of the peoples around them. They aroused the LORD’s anger (Is it possible that the spread of Corvid 19 in such a short time is because the Lord’s anger in upon America and the world?) 13 because they forsook him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths. (Serving Baal was burning their children in fire, like killing the unborn babies around the world today.) 14 In his anger against Israel the LORD gave them into the hands of raiders who plundered them. (This has not happened yet, but as tensions rise with China it could be in the making.) He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.(Again, this hasn’t happened yet either, but could if America continues on its current course.) 15 Whenever Israel went out to fight, the hand of the LORD was against them to defeat them, just as he had sworn to them. They were in great distress (And America will be in great distress too if the Lord turns his back on America because has turned its back on Him.)

If America continues to allow the hate groups to continue to riot, loot, burn, and kill, America is in for a long and frightful fall and winter. History is real, and those who ignore their history can lose their freedoms.
