Mark Smith

Mark Anthony Smith was born January 21, 1985 in Rome, Georgia. He passed away Saturday October 23, 2021. Mark was proceeded in death by his parents, Barbara and Donald Smith and a brother, Steve Smith.

Mark leaves behind his wife Sheri, sons Austin (Amanda and Gracelyn), Benjamin, and twins Elizabeth and Harrison. Additionally, a large extended family that will dearly miss his zest for life, enormous sense of humor, contagious laughter, and his enthusiasm for sports, especially UGA and LSU.

Mark attended Memphis State and University of Georgia. During his forty year career with SEDC/MERIDEAN, his integrity and ability to build relationships became legendary, with hundreds of cooperative employees across the country who considered Mark family.

Recently Mark and his family relocated to Pawleys Island, SC to their new home, where he intended to retire. He purchased a boat, welcomed a grandbaby into the family and was living his best life.

The family will celebrate Mark’s life was held Thursday November 4, 2021 at Woodstock City Church in Woodstock, Georgia.
