Florence "Maxine" Graham Rampley, age 89 of Canton has moved to her heavenly home. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Northside Cherokee on Tuesday, November 9th. She was preceded in death by Webster Rampley, her husband of 67 years. She is survived by her daughter Vivian (Don) Price and three grandchildren, Nathan (Amy) Price, Timothy (Carey) Price, and Katlyn (Ben) Thacker. Also surviving are five great-grandchildren, Barrett Price, Copeland Price, Kinley Thacker, Noah Price, and Abbey Thacker. Maxine was a member of Big Springs United Methodist Church and a life-long resident of Cherokee County. She was always known to be faithful to her church and was a cheerful and active citizen in her community. Her funny sense of humor always had the people around her smiling and she never saw a baby she didn't want to hold, whether she knew it's parents or not. The family will receive friends at Darby Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 10th from 6-8pm and Thursday, November 11th from 1-8pm. The funeral will be on Friday, November 12th at 3pm at Big Springs United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Ware, Dr. Kirk Bozeman, and Rev. Timothy Price officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The caring staff of Darby Funeral Home is honored to serve the Rampley family.
