On Sunday, September 29, 2019, Karen Priest Morris passed away at the age of 65. Born in Atlanta on June 10, 1954, Karen graduated from Sandy Springs High School in 1972 and devoted much time to her career as a Data Security Analyst spending 25 years at Southern Company followed by 14 years at Home Depot before she retired in 2010. In addition to her work, Karen enjoyed exercising, spending time with family and friends, and taking care of others. She filled many places with joy and laughter, and rarely did one see her without a smile on her face. Karen's favorite places included the beach and the lake, and she especially loved to read and listen to music. Karen was preceded in death by her father Fred A. Priest and her mother Kathleen Keith Priest. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Thomas Gary Morris, stepson Gary Kevin Morris (Heather), grandchildren Madeleine Reese Morris, William Sumner Morris, and Mary Gray Morris, brother Gregory Keith Priest, stepmother Olive Brown Priest, stepsisters Cindy Cook Wichman (Mike), Phyllis Lowe Thomas and Olivia Lowe Brewton (Tim), niece Leah Priest Brooks (Shaun) as well as other aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, October 3rd at Northside Chapel in Roswell, Georgia at 3 o'clock pm. The family will receive friends for visitation prior to the service at 2 o'clock pm as well as at a coffee and dessert reception following the service.
