Jackie  Mitchell

Jackie Robert Mitchell, age 75, of Jasper, Georgia passed away Saturday, December 18, 2021 at his home. He was born October 16, 1946 to Eugene and Florence Mitchell in Cherokee County. Jackie retired from Lockheed and the Pickens County Sheriff's Department. Jackie is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Mitchell of Jasper; children, Robin and Keith Cunningham of Fairmount, Renee Cantrell of Fairmount; grandchildren, Cody Cantrell, Brandy Cantrell, Dusty Cunningham, Ace Cunningham; son-in-law, Jason Bagwell; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie Mitchell of Ball Ground, Johnny Mitchell of Ball Ground, Randy and Patricia Mitchell of Canton, Richard and Ivy Mitchell of Adairsville; sister and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Tim Harper of Canton; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ann and Jack Stone of Jasper, Becky Bass of Ellijay, Brenda Thompson of Cartersville. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. He was preceded in death by daughters, Sandy Bagwell and Kam Mitchell; parents, Eugene and Florence Mitchell; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clara and E. C. Barnes. No services are planned at this time. The family would like donations in honor of Mr. Mitchell be made to the Pickens County Animal Shelter or the Jasper City Cemetery Fund. Arrangements are entrusted to the Staff of Roper Funeral Home and Crematory.
