Herman Lee Cantrell, age 92, of Canton, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Heritage Hospice in Marietta.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Floyd Tenney and Dr. Kenny Ott officiating. Interment will follow in Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 25th, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Sosebee Funeral Home.

Herman was a lifelong Canton resident. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II in the South Pacific and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Herman retired from the Civil Service. He was a member of Canton First United Methodist Church, member and Past Master of Canton Masonic Lodge #77, member and Past President of the Cherokee Shrine Club, member of the American Legion Thomas M. Brady Post 45 and a member of the Cherokee County Historical Society.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Ann Bickley Cantrell; son, Robbie Cantrell; brother and sister-in-law, Myron (Joy) Cantrell; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim (Peggy) Bickley, Allan (Mitzi) Bickley, Sybil Cantrell and James Priest; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
