Rodney  Heard

Rodney Charles Heard, age 50, of Jonesboro, passed Monday, August 10, 2020. He was born in East Point, GA to Larry Heard and Sandra Heard. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Betty and Arthur Heard of Canton GA, and Bill and Mary Ussery of Roanoke AL. Rodney was the Community Development Director for the City of McDonough. He is survived by his parents, Sandra and Larry Heard; brother, Ryan Heard; sister, Rebecca Heard; and future brother-in-law, Dekota Oechsle. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 15, 2020 in the East Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors with Pastor Bill Petree and speaker Preston Dorsey officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, August 14, 2020 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
