Mrs. Lynda F. Goodwin, 71, of Ball Ground, Georgia passed away January 26, 2021. Lynda was born in Cuthbert, Georgia on March 27, 1949 to the late Alton and Catherine Fleming. Lynda attended Auburn University and graduated from Georgia State University. Lynda partnered with her husband and son to run their family consulting business, Goodwin and Associates. She was the backbone of their company, acting as CFO, marketer, bookkeeper and many more roles. Lynda found great joy in volunteering. She devoted countless hours to Girl Scouts, Pilot International -Georgia District and Kappa Delta Epsilon Education Fraternity. She held numerous positions and won many awards for her dedication to these service organizations. In 2012, Lynda was honored with the President's Volunteer Service Award. Her greatest love though was her family. She was a dedicated mother, a loving and involved grandmother and a loving wife. Lynda will be remembered for the way she inspired those around her. Her family was constantly amazed with her talents. She was well liked and respected by everyone who knew her. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed by her family and many friends. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 52 years, Ed Goodwin; son, Byron Goodwin (Tammy); daughter, Christi Bowman (Blake); grandchildren, Mark, Madison, Caitlin, Lindsay and Braden; sisters, Sue and Marcia; and a loving extended family. There will be a celebration of life to honor Lynda at a later date.
