Donald "Jeremiah" Godfrey, age 84, of Canton, GA passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021. He was a life long resident of Cherokee County and worked for Canton Textile Mills, for a time in his teens, before going to Lockheed where he worked for the next 40 years. He was a Veteran of the U. S. Army. Jeremiah enjoyed gardening, cutting firewood and tinkering with old tractors and cars. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, February 17, 2021, from the Cherokee Memorial Park with Rev. Michael McPherson officiating. Interment will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park. There will be no visitation prior to the Graveside Service. He was preceded in death by, Wife - Inez Godfrey, Parents: Fate and Fannie Lee Godfrey, Brother and Sisters Survivors include: Son - Chris Godfrey Numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends also survive.
