Jerry Chaffin, age 75, of Canton, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Hill officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The service will be live-streamed through Facebook Live at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private for immediate family at Calvary Baptist Church. The family requests for people to wear masks and to practice social distancing. Jerry was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He served as a fireman for 8 years in the U.S. Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Jerry retired from the City of Marietta as a fireman for 28 years and was a two-time recipient of the City of Marietta GA District 3 EMS "Stars of Life" award. He was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Ray Chaffin. He is survived by his wife, Sandi Chaffin; children, Sherri Schoolcraft and Randy Lee Chaffin (Lisa); brother, David Chaffin; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
