Salvatore  Bordonaro, Sr.

Sal of Canton, GA, was born in Brooklyn, NY, on December 11, 1918, and enjoyed a full life, celebrating his 101st birthday before he went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Sal was a WWII Army Veteran who served his country proudly on the beaches of Normandy during D-Day plus 7 and honored with a Purple Heart. He was a member of the American Legion Post 45. Sal was married to his wife Domenica for 63 years and is survived by his 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Sal will be laid to rest in The Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, GA with a full military ceremony on Monday, December 30, 2019, promptly at 1:30p.m. For more information on his funeral contact Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ga.
