The owner of a closed Woodstock custom furniture retail store has been indicted on theft and tax evasion charges by a Cherokee County grand jury.

According to the indictment:

Steven Michael Oleesky, owner of the now closed The Table Store, 9533 Main St., Woodstock is charged with three counts of theft by taking and one count of state tax evasion.

Oleesky is accused of taking money from three people in the amounts of $1,856.78, $529, and $849. In the count of tax evasion, he is accused by the Georgia Department of Revenue of not remitting sales tax for products sold between Feb. 1, 2019 and Nov. 14, 2019 and failure to keep records and submit them to the state as required.

He is scheduled to appear in Cherokee County Superior Court for an arraignment on Feb. 13, according to court records.
