Woodstock Police Department is seeking donations for Louisiana residents affected by Hurricane Ida.

Partnering with Convoy of Care, Woodstock police are collecting items from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, 11905 Highway 92. Collections will take place off Gunnin Road.

“Although many New Orleans residents now have power and running water again, many residents of rural communities outside of the city are still waiting,” the police department said in an announcement.

Donations will also be accepted at WSB, 1601 W. Peachtree St., N.E. in Atlanta and Caring for Others, 3537 Browns Mill Road SE in Atlanta.

The police department is asking for personal hygiene kits, cleaning supplies, box fans, flashlights, batteries, heavy duty extension cords and laundry detergent. Items collected will primarily be distributed to Thibodaux, Houma, and Montegut.
