Two men have been charged in connection with an armed robbery of a customer at a Woodstock gas station on Thursday, authorities aid.

According to a statement from Woodstock police:

Kerrik McCaslin, 21, of Atlanta and Brandon Kemp, 26, of Smyrna were arrested shortly after the armed robbery call and charged with: armed robbery, hijacking a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon during commission of a felony, entering auto, financial transaction card theft and theft by taking.

At approximately 1:24 a.m., Thursday police responded to an armed robbery call at the Circle K gas station at 12155 Ga. Highway 92 in Woodstock. Upon arrival, it was determined that two men approached a woman at the gas pumps, brandished a handgun and demanded her purse, vehicle, and other valuables. During the incident, the victim was able to escape into the Circle K where she was able to contact 911.

The suspects were seen on video fleeing across Highway 92 on foot. At approximately 6:10 a.m., Woodstock Police officers, with the help of Walmart employees, were able to locate both McCaslin and Kemp inside Walmart. They were taken into custody without incident.

"The Woodstock Police Department would like to thank Walmart and its employees for their vigilance and assistance in locating the suspects," a statement from the department reads.
