A man from Woodstock was taken into custody in Cherokee County Friday on charges of child molestation allegedly dating back to 2011, court documents and jail records show.

Jonathan Verner, 40, is accused of sexually abusing a child under 16 multiple times between 2011 and 2014 at a Woodstock home, according to his arrest warrant, filed in December. He faces four counts of aggravated child molestation.

Verner was arrested earlier this month in Bartow County on separate charges, and was booked into the Cherokee County jail Friday, according to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office. He remains in the jail without bond.
