A Woodstock man faces multiple counts of child molestation after authorities say he abused a boy under 16 while the boy was visiting a relative.

Alex Eppsteiner, 24, of Woodstock was arrested last Monday and booked into the Cherokee County jail, jail records show. He is charged with two counts of aggravated child molestation and one count of child molestation, all felonies, and one count of furnishing obscene material to a minor.

According to his arrest warrant, the sexual abuse was between 2019 and April 15.

Last Tuesday afternoon, after a first appearance hearing, Eppsteiner remained in the Cherokee County jail without bond, according to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office.
