The eighth annual Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt is set to take place between May 3 and May 29 this year.

Giving Woodstock residents and visitors the opportunity to explore the city and learn more about it, the scavenger hunt provides a unique experience for participants to team up and gather photographic evidence of their journey through dozens of different sites around Woodstock.

Participants will have more than three weeks to complete as many of the tasks and challenges they can out of a list of 100. Teams will be competing to win a $100 Downtown Dollars gift certificate and other prizes, with all competing teams that complete a minimum number of clues will be entered into a drawing to win other great prizes.

The contest is open to anyone who lives, works or is visiting Woodstock. There is no cost to take part and no advance registration is required. Clues for the hunt will be released at 10 a.m. May 3 and will be available at visitwoodstockga.com/scavenger-hunt and the Downtown Woodstock Facebook page. Printed copies will be available at the Woodstock Visitors Center, located at 8588 Main St. and open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
