A 14-year old was shot and killed early Sunday at a home in southwest Cherokee County, according to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded at about 1:19 a.m. Sunday to a report of a person shot to a home on Victoria Road near Woodstock, the sheriff’s office reported.

Deputies reported people running from the home on foot and cars driving away from the area.

A 14-year-old boy was found in the rear of an SUV with a gunshot wound to the torso.

The 14-year-old was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries and died later Sunday morning.

Another teen, a 19-year-old man, showed up at Northside Cherokee with gun shot wounds to his hand and elbow. He was treated and released.

Multiple shots were fired at the residence, according to the sheriff’s office.

The shooting remains under investigation. No suspects have been identified.

Investigators believe a fight in Kennesaw from earlier that night is related to the shooting. Sunday afternoon, authorities released a video to their Facebook page of the fight at at West 22 Apartments, 3615 Cherokee St. NW in Kennesaw, which they say shows people who ended up at the party in Cherokee County.

The 14-year-old was shot in or outside the home and someone moved him into the car, sheriff’s office spokesperson Capt. Jay Baker told Fox 5 Atlanta Sunday. Authorities estimate about 100 people were at the party, and about 30 witnesses were interviewed.

Investigators are asking anyone who recognizes the people in the video, witnesses who fled the scene or people who were interviewed but have additional information call 678-493-4080.
