Woodstock summer concert amphitheater

The free summer concert series in Woodstock is popular with residents.

The city of Woodstock has announced that the first performance in the 2020 season of the Woodstock Summer Concert Series set for May 9 has been postponed. The Ultimate Queen Celebration starring Marc Martel has been rescheduled for July 31, a Friday.

“We are monitoring the evolving recommendations of various public health agencies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic,” City Manager Jeff Moon said. “We will continue to implement strategies to reduce the impact on our community.”

The next show on the schedule is a June 13 concert by Rumours.

Additional events to be postponed or canceled include:

- April 24 — Sunset Symphony at Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater has been canceled.

- April 25 — Rock for Rescues concert at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Amphitheater will be rescheduled.

- April 25 — Greenstock Day and Recycling Event will be moved to June 20.

- The City-Wide Yard Sale will be the weekend of June 20. The deadline to submit ads on www.woodstockparksandrec.com is now June 8.

Moon urges residents to follow City of Woodstock, GA on Facebook, @woodstockgagov on Twitter, or go to www.woodstockga.gov for additional closure and cancelation information as well as resources for COVID-19 response.
