Safe Kids Cherokee County will be holding a bike helmet check on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the G. Cecil Pruett YMCA, 151 Waleska St., in Canton.

Attendees are asked to follow the signs at the YMCA and drive through with their bike helmets on. A volunteer in Personal Protective Equipment will be ready to greet participants and hand out goody bags. A PPE Safety Expert will visually check the helmet and give tips for a proper fit, while adjustments will be made with the help of a parent or guardian. In addition, if a new helmet is needed, Safe Kids will provide a helmet and make sure it fits too.

Along with the Safe Kids Cherokee County officials, representatives from Chick-Fil-A will be present at the event with coupons for free ice cream.
