Reinhardt University will host its graduation ceremonies for the classes of 2020 and 2021 in person May 7, with COVID-19 health and safety protocols in place.
Reinhardt will host two commencement ceremonies on May 7 at Ken White Stadium, 7300 Reinhardt Circle in Waleska. The first ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will consist of fall 2020, spring 2021, and summer 2021 graduates. An additional ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. and will consist of fall 2019, spring 2020, and summer 2020 graduates.
“The entire Reinhardt University community is excited to offer an in-person commencement to honor both the class of 2020 and the class of 2021,” interim President Mark Roberts said in a statement. “Our graduates have persisted despite great obstacles, and I am so thrilled that we can perform this important academic ritual.”
Each graduate will be able to secure four tickets to invite four guests to attend the graduate’s designated ceremony. Tickets will be available April 1 through the ticketing system HomeTown Ticketing on the Reinhardt website commencement page, bit.ly/3m7qmjc.
Guests will be seated in the bleachers at Ken White Stadium. Graduates will be seated in socially distanced chairs on the field. The event will be live-streamed for additional guests to support their graduates and view the ceremonies virtually.
Graduates and their families are traditionally invited to a baccalaureate ceremony before commencement. The baccalaureate ceremony will be incorporated into both commencement ceremonies.
