HOLLY SPRINGS — Rabbit Hill Road in Holly Springs will re-open to traffic on Friday, according to Baldwin Paving Co., Inc., the contractor for the Holly Springs Parkway widening project. The road is scheduled to open at or before noon.
Because of the condition of the more than 40-year-old asphalt, the contractor rebuilt the road. In addition to rebuilding the road to current standards, contractors also made drainage improvements and will open a turn lane and install a traffic signal at the intersection with Holly Springs Parkway later this fall.
Construction continues in the area as overhead utilities are relocated to make way for the travel lanes and culvert extension on the eastern side of Holly Springs Parkway.
