The Holly Springs Tree Commission invites residents to take part in its second annual Arbor Day event on Feb. 21 at the Historic Train Depot, located at 164 Hickory Rd.

The event is from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Commission members will be giving away crape myrtle, dogwood and live oak seedlings.

The Commission is looking forward to holding this event again this year. “Last year, we gave out every seedling we had available before the advertised end of the event,” said Colleen Konwick, treasurer of the tree commission and the Arbor Day Committee. “With each seedling, residents will receive instructions on how to properly plant and care for the trees they have selected.”

No RSVP is required.
