Gov. Brian Kemp will be the keynote speaker at the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting May 12.

The chamber’s annual meeting is 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 12 in the chapel at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, 11905 Highway 92.

At the meeting, the chamber will present its First Citizen of Cherokee County, Volunteer of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Excellence in Customer Service Award, Green Business of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year awards.

The chamber normally holds its annual meeting in January, but delayed the event due to a surge in COVID-19 cases, Cherokee Chamber President Pam Carnes said in an email to previous event ticket purchasers.

Individual tickets are $50 for in-person and $25 for live streaming. A row of eight seats is $400. To purchase or for more information, visit www.cherokeechamber.com.

This story has been updated to clarify that the chamber’s email initially went to people who had purchased tickets for previous annual meeting events.
