Canton River Rock

The Canton River Rock summer concert series draws families and visitors at Etowah River Park.

A series of family-friendly free concerts returns to the Etowah River Park amphitheater starting in June.

The third Canton River Rock summer concert series kicks off June 19 with Rumours, the Fleetwood Mac tribute band, headlining and 80s rock tribute group Shyanne opening, according to the city of Canton.

July 17, A1A, a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band, will headline the concert with Grains of Sand Band as the opening act.

Sundance Head, who won season 11 of “The Voice,” will headline the series’ Aug. 21 concert, with The Red Clay Strays opening.

The final show of the year will be Sept. 18, featuring Laine Hardy, the winner of American Idol Season 17. Country artist J. Scott Thompson will open for Hardy.

All shows begin at 6 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. Etowah River park is located at 600 Brown Industrial Parkway in Canton.

There will be social distancing signs out and added hand sanitizing stations, and the events will follow state and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on COVID-19 safety measures.
