Authorities are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a home on River Crest Drive in Woodstock over the weekend.

Woodstock and Cherokee County firefighters responded 7:18 p.m. Sunday to a residential structure fire in the 500 block River Crest Drive in Woodstock. They found smoke and flames coming from the eaves. Crews made “an aggressive interior fire attack” and extinguished the fire, Woodstock Fire Department reported on its Facebook page.

No injuries were reported. Authorities credited a neighbor with noticing the fire and alerting the resident inside the house.
