Cherokee County School District schools are showing their support for Riverfest by purchasing and wearing this year’s annual T-shirt. Riverfest, on Sept. 29 and 30 at Etowah River Park in Canton, is a major fundraiser for the Service League of Cherokee County, which supports the county’s neediest children, often through requests made by teachers and counselors on behalf of their students. The support ranges from providing clothes and school supplies to paying for eyeglasses and dental exams. For more information, see the website www.serviceleague.net.
