Macedonia Elementary School kicked off its schoolwide positive behavior program with a visit from Gutsy the Flying Fox.

“The students practiced Wildcat expectations by ROAR-ing the morning away!” Principal Carolyn Daugherty said. ROAR stands for: Respect, Organized and prepared, Accepting of self and others, and Responsible and Safe.

Through his presentation, Gutsy demonstrated how to be your best self every day by ROAR-ing and living the school’s four core values.

“Macedonia ES is made up of four ancient tribes representing good character. Students belong to either ‘Snazen’ for strength, ‘Dobrina’ for kindness, ‘Vereen’ for loyalty, or ‘Iskren’ for honesty,” Dr. Daugherty said. “The Wildcats are four tribes, but one Noble Nation.”
