No one was injured in this truck fire that blocked Univeter Road for nearly half an hour on Thursday.

No one was injured, but traffic on Univeter Road was blocked Thursday when a dump truck caught fire, authorities said.

According to Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services Director of Public Affairs Tim Cavender:

Shortly before 2 p.m. firefighters responded to a fire at 343 Univeter Road.

Firefighters arrived at the scene within minutes to find a dump truck on fire. The truck was still in the road with the engine and cab fully engulfed in flames. Both lanes of Univeter Road were shut down and firefighters had the fire extinguished within minutes. The truck received extensive damage.

No injuries were reported and the road was reopened around 2:30. The cause of the fire is unknown.
