The driver of a car that struck a motorcycle, killing the rider, has been charged following a Cherokee Sheriff's Office investigation.
Joanna Wagner has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield to a left turn in the crash that killed 55-year-old Daniel Zimmerman on May 27.
The collision occurred just before 11 a.m. that day when Wagner's Honda Civic was traveling south on Bells Ferry Road turning left onto Eagle Drive. A Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Zimmerman was traveling north on Bells Ferry Road and was struck by the Civic, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.
Wagner was arrested June 12 and has been released on $2,211 bond.
