Catering to a wide range of clients, the Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency will have several new therapeutic recreational programs beginning in September.

On Wednesday evenings, CRPA will be offering a music therapy program at 5 p.m., followed by adaptive archery at 6:30 p.m. An inclusive STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) LEGO class will be held Thursdays at 5:30 p.m.

Music therapy will be led by the certified music therapists of Therabeat, Inc. Participants will have the chance to sing and make music in a social, educational and fun environment.

During the inclusive STEM LEGO class, participants will have opportunities to learn a project with a trained STEM LEGO instructor, or have time to free build, all while engaging in a social and group environment.

The agency’s Water Warriors program will continue on Tuesdays at 1 p.m. at the Cherokee Aquatic Center. This program provides an opportunity for exercise and socialization in a warm water environment.
