Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy’s robotics team won the Innovative Project Trophy at the recent Regional FIRST Lego League Competition.

The BrickMasters, a robotics team of fourth- and fifth-graders, competed against 23 other teams from elementary, middle, and private schools to win. For the project, the team created active movement paths that students can use to reduce stress and anxiety at school. The team advanced to the Super Regional Competition, where it cored four of its highest robot runs in the history of the team. The team, which was formed when the school opened in 2012, has offered 120 students the opportunity to participate in robotics competitions, where they have accumulated 12 trophies from regional, super-regional and even state competitions. The team is coached by teachers Teresa Bailey, Kim Marler, and Jennifer Rice.
