Over 70 employees at Chick-fil-A Canton have been awarded scholarships totaling over $180,000.

The employees were recently surprised with $2,500 scholarships across Cherokee County, the company announced Friday.

“This was the biggest year yet for us in Canton as we were able to award over $180,000 in scholarships to our team,” Kevin Williams, operator of the three Canton area Chick-fil-A locations, said. “This is an incredible reinvestment we are able to lead thanks to the continued support of everyone who does business with us in Canton. We have hopes that this scholarship program will continue to grow.”

Williams added that the reactions to receiving the scholarships were met with tears, big smiles, and proud parents.

“These students that balance both work and school, are what makes the future so bright in America and the world,” Williams said. “We may also have something additional in the works before school starts back in August.”
