Cherokee County School District officials recognized and honored Avery Elementary School school staff, and a kindergartner, Thursday for recently helping to save the life of a student.

Kindergartner Hudson Dalton was recognized by Superintendent Brian Hightower and the school board for his bravery and life-saving actions, when classmate Aidan Anderson recently had a cardiac event at the school.
