Cherokee Sheriff’s Office investigators are asking for the public’s help on information about a truck pulling a camper on Upper Bethany Road Sunday afternoon.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a bicyclist seriously injured Sunday.

The collision was Sunday afternoon on Upper Bethany Road. The vehicle was described as a dark truck pulling a camper, according to the sheriff’s office. The cyclist was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening, injuries.

Investigators have shared a still from a video taken from a nearby residence that shows a truck pulling a camper approaching the site just before the crash.

Anyone who recognizes the truck or camper, or has any other information, is asked to call Cpl. Bennett at 404-669-6449.

Residents on Upper Bethany Road between Soap Creek Road and Damascus Road who have security cameras that show the roadway are encouraged to check for footage of a dark colored truck pulling a camper between 3:15 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Sunday.
