"Rebuilding Hope Together" will take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 18.

Over 17 interfaith congregations are coming together Thursday to celebrate Thanksgiving.

The virtual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Celebration is at 7 p.m. Thursday, with music starting at 6:45 p.m.

Themed "Rebuilding Hope Together," the event will feature messages, music, and humor.

“During these uncertain times, many people have slowed down and looked inward," said Hal Schlinger. "They’ve looked to their family, friends, and community as well as a higher power for guidance and comfort. We invite people to reflect, recharge, renew and rejoice together. Our annual celebration’s words, music, and humor will lift your spirit and give you cause to believe. Whether you watch alone, with your family, or as a small viewing party, you will be helping us build hope together.”

Participating organizations include the following: Art of Living Foundation; Chestnut Ridge Christian Church; Congregation Etz Chaim; East Cobb Islamic Center; Emerson Unitarian Universalist Congregation; First Presbyterian Church of Marietta; Masjid Al-Furqar-West Cobb Islamic Center; One World Spiritual Center; Sikh Educational Welfare Association - Gurudwara Sahib; St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church; St. David’s Episcopal Church; Temple Beth Tikvah; Temple Kol Emeth; The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Transfiguration Catholic Church; Unity North Atlanta; and Unitarian Universalist Metro Atlanta North.

The event will be streamed at www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvNv6iASE_o.

Event organizers are inviting guests to donate to their "Give-a-Gobble" initiative, which this year is going to United Military Care, Inc., for Thanksgiving dinners for veterans. To donate, visit www.kolemeth.net/gobble.
