The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a one-day leadership conference on Aug. 28.

The Chamber’s Leadership Symposium, hosted by Reinhardt University, will be held at the Falany Performing Arts Center on the university campus in Waleska.

“The Leadership Symposium will feature four speakers who will share thought provoking information to be used both on the job and in life,” Chamber Chairman John Barker said.

Speakers will include:

♦ Walter Marques, leadership coach and trainer from the John Maxwell Team;

♦ Harlan Hammack, business and leadership coach from IB4e Coaching;

♦ Danielle Donehew, executive director, Women’s Basketball Coaches Association; and

♦ Tory Johnston, vice president of sales and marketing, Chattanooga Bakery, Inc. – maker of the world-famous MoonPie.

“The Chamber is excited to partner with Reinhardt University for the third consecutive year on this impactful one-day high energy event that provides opportunities for seasoned leaders to refocus, while also encouraging emerging leaders to better grasp their leadership potential,” said Chamber President and CEO Pam Carnes. “Continuous development of Cherokee County’s array of leaders — business, government, civic, cultural, faith based, etc. — is vital as our community works diligently to remain at the top of its game.”

Tickets are available to both chamber members and the general public. The day will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration and continental breakfast with the final wrap-up at 3:30 p.m. An optional campus tour will follow. The cost is $60 for chamber members and $85 for future members and includes continental breakfast, lunch, and two networking/snack breaks. Sponsors in addition to Reinhardt University are session sponsors Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Georgia Power Co.; breakfast sponsor State Farm Insurance – Jey Willis Agency; lunch sponsor Sold by Julianne-Keller Williams Atlanta North; and networking/snack break sponsors Live Clean, Inc. and North Georgia CPA Services. The event is also supported by Metz, Reinhardt’s food service team.
