Cherokee County School District has recognized some of the county's top readers in its annual reading bowl.

This year's CCSD Reading Bowl winners are: Indian Knoll Elementary School, first place; Clark Creek Elementary School STEM Academy, second; and Little River Elementary School, third; middle school: Freedom Middle School, first place, and E.T. Booth Middle School, second; and high school: Creekview High School, first place, and River Ridge High School, second.

The reading bowl, which recently was held at E.T. Booth Middle School, is a timed competition designed to encourage reading. Open to students in grades 4-12, the competition features questions from books selected by a CCSD committee of educators.
