Canton officials are working to repair a main line water break on Bluffs Parkway, which will leave the surrounding area without water for the rest of the day Wednesday, officials said.

The water break on Bluffs Parkway is at the Board of Education Building, 1250 Bluffs Parkway.

City Utility Engineer Dave Hatabian said in a message that the leak began Tuesday, but that parts repair the break were not available until Wednesday morning. He added that, to keep the residents of Park Village and the Bluffs and Chattahoochee Tech with water, the city let the leak run through the night.

City Manager Billy Peppers added that the break is in the main line on Bluff’s Parkway, and that the only impacted areas are occupants on Bluffs Parkway and the Park Village neighborhood. Wednesday morning, the line will be isolated and Park Village, the Bluffs and Chattahoochee Tech will be without water for a good portion of the day.

City officials said that updates will be given throughout the day as more information becomes available.
