Representatives from more than 50 businesses and organizations throughout the community came out Thursday to Partner Up with CCSD schools.

Participants met one-on-one with leaders from CCSD’s schools and central office departments at the annual networking event to share coffee and conversation about partnership opportunities. School Board Chair Kyla Cromer and Superintendent of Schools Brian Hightower also were on hand to greet guests.

“We believe our schools are stronger when our community is engaged, and our school parents make up an important part of our community,” Hightower said. “We appreciate all of our partners and hope to see many more businesses, civic clubs and other organizations partner up with us this year to support our students and staff.”

New this year, a drawing was held to give away a swag bag of donations from CCSD, the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce and the Cherokee County Educational Foundation. The winner was Nathan Padilla of NASA TopHat Soccer.
