The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a young man they say is a person of interest in the Oct. 17 Victoria Road shooting.

The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help identifying a person of interest in an October shooting that killed a 14-year-old.

Two teens were shot at a house party Oct. 17 on Victoria Road in Cherokee County, where authorities estimate there were about 100 people.

Landon Andrews, 14, of Marietta, died of a gunshot wound in his torso. A 19-year-old, Jaden Simmons, was shot in the hand and elbow, and was treated at a local hospital.

Authorities have not identified a suspect charged with killing Andrews or with injuring Simmons.

“Information regarding the shooting has been difficult to come by but investigators want to identify this person of interest,” the sheriff’s office said on its Facebook page Friday.

The sheriff’s office shared a photo showing the profile of a young man.

Anyone who knows or recognizes the person is asked to call 770-928-0239 or 911.

In November, Elijah Alexander Harrison, 17, Douglasville, was arrested in connection with the Oct. 17 shooting, charged with five felony counts of discharging a firearm from a vehicle toward a person and one charge of criminal damage to property.
