Investigators are asking for help identifying a tractor trailer that was involved in a crash with this Honda Accord on Thursday morning that continued driving away from the scene.

Authorities are seeking the public’s help in finding a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash early Thursday morning that left two people seriously injured.

According to Capt. Jay Baker of the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office:

On Thursday at 5:18 a.m., a serious injury hit and run crash occurred on Interstate 75 southbound near Woodstock Road. The collision involved a gold 2000 Honda Accord and an unidentified tractor trailer.

“The Honda Accord lost control and left the road striking a tree. The 18 wheeler or semi-tractor trailer continued southbound on I-75. The driver and passenger of the Honda Accord were transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where they were treated for serious injuries,” Baker said.

Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Unit is asking anyone with information about the hit and run crash to call or text (470) 560-7073 and share their information. Reference Case #SO21-002492.
